Millwright/Manual Machinist - 1st Shift

Air Products is hiring a Millwright/Machinist at the Membranes Solutions facility in St.Louis,Missouri. The position is a 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm) in the Site Services area, where priorities can change rapidly. Key Job Responsibilities Perform routine and non‑routine machining tasks. Assist others with design ideas and equipment improvements. Complete monthly assigned preventive maintenance tasks. Repair and refurbish production and building equipment. Complete required safety tasks and activities. Support facility operations by completing assigned work orders. Required Skills / Abilities Strong mechanical skills. Machine shop experience. CNC milling machine operation and programming (preferred but not required). Welding experience (preferred but not required). Ability to hold close tolerances (.0005) using milling machines and lathes. Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship and flexibility in job assignments. Ability and initiative to complete job assignments in a timely manner. Follow safe work practices and standard operating procedures. Minimum Hiring Requirements A high school diploma or GED is required. 3+ years of machine shop experience is required (military training considered equivalent). Strong mechanical skills. Ability to lift 50lb and climb ladders. Valid driver’s license is required. Ability to work in a team environment. Availability to work a 1st shift (7:00am–3:30pm).
