What You Will Do
As a Material Handler, you will be a vital part of our manufacturing operations. You will rotate through multiple high-skill roles, including operating heavy machinery, packaging, and quality control.
- Heavy Lifting: Operate overhead cranes to safely move steel coils weighing 20 to 40 tons.
- Equipment Operation: Run forklifts, slitters, and banding tools to process metal products.
- Production Prep: Read work orders, assist in building skids, and bundle products securely for shipment.
- Quality Control: Use tape measures to ensure all cut metal meets exact customer specifications.
- Teamwork: Support various warehouse stations and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in manufacturing, heavy material handling, or heavy industry tasks.
- Machinery Skills: Prior experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is highly preferred.
- Precision: Ability to read a tape measure accurately with strong attention to detail.
- Grit: Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced, and industrial environment.
- Reliability: A team player who shows up on time and is ready to hit daily production goals.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
