Job Title: Legal Accounting Specialist

Job Overview:

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Accounting Specialist to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This onsite direct hire opportunity is based in Boca Raton, FL and offers the chance to play a vital role in financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with leadership and business partners to deliver accurate financial information, support operational decision making, and strengthen accounting processes. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial functions in a professional environment.

Compensation:

$65,000 to $105,000/year, based on experience

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Accounting Specialist:

• Oversee core accounting activities, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
• Support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities while ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines, internal policies, and financial controls.
• Analyze financial performance, assist with budgeting and forecasting efforts, and provide reporting that supports informed business decisions.
• Coordinate cash management and transactional accounting processes, including payables, receivables, and specialized fund management activities.
• Facilitate audit preparation, payroll support functions, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across the organization to address financial reporting needs.

Qualifications and Skills for the Legal Accounting Specialist:

• Experience performing accounting and financial reporting functions within a professional services, legal, or similarly structured business environment.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial close procedures.
• Ability to prepare, interpret, and analyze financial data, budgets, forecasts, and operational reports with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency using accounting and financial management systems, along with advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and reporting tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills with the ability to handle confidential financial and employee information responsibly.
