Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic

The Orthopedic In-Patient Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse patient population, including both adult and pediatric orthopedic cases.

Position Information:

• Department: Orthopedic In-Patient Unit
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Float Requirements: Yes

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with orthopedic conditions.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care as necessary.
• Utilize traction equipment and electronic health records (EHR) for documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Valid nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for orthopedic care.
• Certifications: BLS and PALS certifications are required prior to start.

Patient Care Overview:

• Unit Capacity: 18 beds
• Patient Ratios: 5 patients per nurse
• Common Diagnoses: Fractures and other orthopedic conditions.
• Equipment Used: Traction systems and Meditech EHR.
