Responsibilities Ensure machinery product safety design, product safety integration and product safety sustaining of Vanderlande’s North American automated conveyor system products and systems. Conduct basic product safety testing and create product safety machinery test reports. Perform detailed risk assessments on machinery and processes to identify potential hazards and determine necessary safeguards. Perform new and sustaining product design reviews. Perform regular safety audits and machine capability checks, investigate incidents, and manage corrective actions for machine safety deficiencies. Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Occupational Safety and Health Engineering. Experience Required: Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in machinery safety standard applications, safety design, and safety validation of machine guarding. Compliance Engineering Knowledge: OSHA 29CFR1910 Subparts A, D, O; NFPA70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA79 (Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery); ANSIB20.1, ANSIB11 series (Machine Safety); UL2011; EN60204‑1; ISO13849 (Safety‑Related Parts of Control Systems); IEC62061 (Functional Safety); ISO12100 (Methodology – risk assessments); and Canadian and Mexican equivalents.
