Job Opportunity: Associate Director of Urology

Our organization, affiliated with a prominent healthcare system, is thrilled to announce an opening for the position of Associate Director of Urology. This role encompasses a comprehensive range of general and specialized outpatient and surgical care. The responsibilities include managing all facets of the urology service, supervising staff, and providing education and mentorship to urology residents and students within an academic community hospital environment. On-call duties are also part of this position.

Our facility has been recognized at ASCO's plenary session for its commitment to enrolling patients from diverse communities in research initiatives. We invite candidates interested in participating as investigators in clinical trials, including cooperative group studies, pharmaceutical research, and physician-initiated studies. You will receive robust support from our experienced research team for both regulatory and clinical requirements.

The urology department is supported by skilled physician assistants who contribute to inpatient, outpatient, and surgical patient care. Our hospital is conveniently located and accessible via public transportation and car from various areas across New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.

• Strong clinical expertise and teaching experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior leadership or management experience, particularly in academic medical centers or public health systems, is preferred
• Proficiency in general urology; additional experience in oncology, reconstruction, female/pelvic medicine, voiding dysfunction, and endourology is advantageous

Our healthcare facilities are part of the largest municipal healthcare system in the nation, featuring modern medical centers with Centers of Excellence in Women's Health, Cancer Care, Diabetes Care, and Behavioral Health. We serve a culturally diverse and underserved population with a wide array of medical conditions. Our state-of-the-art facilities include three DaVinci Xi surgical robots (two at one site and one at another), numerous physician assistants/nurse practitioners, and urology residents at each location. Both sites are designated Cancer Centers of Excellence, with one being a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Successful candidates must be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Urology and possess a valid medical license in New York State. Faculty appointments at our affiliated medical school will be based on credentials, experience, and achievements. The salary for this position ranges from $362,418 to $470,000, in addition to benefits and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year. Visa sponsorship is available.
