Basic Job Functions: This position creates a positive first impression for Nucor Steel Gallatin visitors. The successful applicant will assist visitors, suppliers, and teammates as needed and provide administrative support in an accurate, thorough, and professional manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Answer front desk calls promptly and pleasantly
• Book venues and approve menus off-site
• Ensure proper safety equipment is clean and available for visitors and customers
• Ensure proper on-site transportation is available and in good condition
• Ensure rooms are set up for events and returned to normal use appropriately
• Coordinate tour guides for tour groups
• Enter requisitions into IVARA and track to insure proper payment
• Order and maintain stock promotional items for Commercial Department
• Order special request items when required
• Assist other departments with ordering promotional items
• Assist with plant-wide meals
• Assist Accounts Payable with invoice processing and other duties, as needed
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Admin and Sales Departments
• Maintain inventory of kitchen and meeting rooms
• Maintain inventory of admin office supplies
• Update and maintain Nucor Steel Gallatin phone list
• Sort and distribute mail
• Send bereavement and birth announcements
• Serve as point of contact for postage contractor
• Performing other administrative functions relating to accounts receivable, accounts payable and accounting, as needed

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
• At least one year of administrative office experience

Knowledge of computers, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office suite of programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
