About the Role:

As a Server at Another Broken Egg Café, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and addressing any guest needs or concerns with professionalism and care. You will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely delivery of menu items while maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. This role requires a strong commitment to upholding the café’s standards of hospitality and quality, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact the café’s reputation and success by fostering positive guest interactions and seamless service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or café environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently during busy periods.
• Positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, answering questions and making recommendations as needed.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system efficiently.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation and quality meet café standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables and adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and timely order fulfillment.
• Process payments accurately and handle cash or electronic transactions responsibly.

In this role, strong communication skills are essential for engaging with guests, understanding their needs, and providing clear information about menu items. Attention to detail is used daily to ensure orders are accurate and presented attractively, contributing to guest satisfaction.
