Team Leader ($21-$23/hr) - Johns Hopkins Health System Parking

Summary The Team Leader is responsible for the general operations of a property that is less than a 24/7 operation with nine (9) or fewer GSAs. The role involves coordinating and administering staff, ensuring service standards are met or exceeded, handling critical issues, and making judgment calls when expediency is required. Essential Functions Deliver consistent guest/patient service experience on all shifts, perform guest/patient service duties, and allocate labor to support service delivery. Integrate Towne Park’s standards with client service standards and maintain composure under pressure to handle complaints. Maintain detailed knowledge of the client’s facility (outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, parking rates, and local attractions) – 15% of time. Participate in “The Show” and provide aggressive hospitality, appropriately greeting guests/patients and opening all vehicle and hotel doors – 15% of time. Check in arriving guests/patients, explain parking and retrieval procedures, and drive vehicles safely – 10% of time. Conduct effective room presentations for bell services, assist with deliveries, directions, and inquiries, and assign routine roles to coworkers – 10% of time. Participate in hiring, orientation, training, and retain talented associates; provide feedback, coaching, and performance documentation – 10% of time. Recognize high performance and facilitate development opportunities, enforce positive discipline, and lead by example – 15% of time. Build relationships with client staff, maintain regular communication, and ensure team focus on exceeding client expectations to grow Towne Park’s business – 15% of time. Implement controls for scheduling, overtime, tip reporting, and timekeeping; build schedules, manage cash drop, and complete shift reports accurately – 10% of time. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 18 years of age; must pass criminal background, MVR, and drug screen. One to two (1‑2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of GSA procedures and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Strong planning, prioritizing, and multitasking skills under pressure. Proven work ethic, energy, and persistence to achieve goals. Stability, dependability, and professionalism in dynamic situations. Computer proficiency (MS Office, POS applications) and technical aptitude. Effective written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels. Ability to represent the company across diverse cultures and settings. Proficient in standard English (reading, writing, speaking). Capacity to read, interpret business policies, procedures, training materials, and corporate communications. Ability to compose professional internal and external business communications. Working Conditions & Physical Demands The role requires frequent talking or hearing, prolonged sitting or standing, running, walking, and handling objects. Employees must reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment. Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly may be required. Work is primarily outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold.
