Fox Construction Inc., Steamboat Springs' longest-standing general contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager & Estimator to oversee high-end residential and commercial projects from preconstruction to closeout. This dual-role opportunity puts you at the center of planning, budgeting, procurement, and execution, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the exceptional quality standards we are known for.

What You Will Be Doing

You will work closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive projects from the initial bid to the final warranty check-in:
• Estimating & Preconstruction: Prepare detailed cost estimates at all design stages (conceptual, DD, CD). Lead design-build preconstruction meetings, manage full bid/RFP processes, perform value engineering, and aggressively negotiate subcontracts.
• Full-Cycle Project Management: Lead project execution from start to finish. Collaborate seamlessly with site superintendents to manage schedules, safety protocols, and strict quality control.
• Financial & Site Control: Host weekly subcontractor meetings and O.A.C. sessions. Track change orders, budgets, and subcontractor performance metrics while conducting routine jobsite visits to resolve field issues proactively.
• Client Relations & Closeout: Manage final walkthroughs, punch lists, and the ultimate client handover. Oversee the preparation of O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation, and lead one-year warranty check-ins to ensure absolute client satisfaction.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
• Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in estimating and project management roles within high-end residential and/or commercial construction.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of building codes, project sequencing, and subcontractor management, paired with high proficiency in construction software, spreadsheets, and estimating tools.
• Leadership & Organization: Excellent communication, organization, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Physical Capabilities: The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and conduct site visits in varying outdoor mountain conditions.
• Licensure: A valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• Communication: English fluency is required. (Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a massive plus!)
