About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Center Duration: 20 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 5 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM Must-Have: Experience with antepartum, postpartum, labor and delivery, and gynecological post-operative patients. Ability to circulate C-sections and recover both mother and infant. Description: Level III Trauma Center with a Level II NICU. 72 total beds with 13 designated for specific services. Patient ratios of 1:2 for laboring, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3 for couplets during various gynecological surgeries. Support on the unit includes CNAs with a ratio of 1:13 and OB techs serving as scrubs during C-sections. Charge nurse has a light assignment. Phlebotomy services are provided by RNs who draw blood. OB-GYNs are on call at night alongside midwives, with OB-CRNA available 24/7 on weekends. Monitoring is available at the nurse's station and the bedside. No floating is required. Schedule includes weekend rotation every other weekend. Manager approval is needed for requested time off. Holiday expectations include working the night before and the night after major holidays. Scrub color is procedural blues.
