Construction Manager Direct Columbia, SC, US Summary/Objective The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This includes managing budgets, schedules, and resources while ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. The role involves strategic decision-making, administrative oversight, and coordination with stakeholders to drive project success. Primary Responsibilities Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and documentation ensuring alignment with organizational and strategic objectives. Leverage expertise to create construction guidelines and define comprehensive scopes of work. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards while maintaining safe, clean, and orderly work environments. Direct and coordinate construction resources, including tools, equipment,personneland materials, to optimize project execution. Prepare detailed project documentation such as bill of materials, safety compliance records, and progress reports, demonstrating a high level of administrative proficiency. Conduct site inspections to validate construction quality and compliance with company and client standards. Track project deliverables and manage change requests with sound decision-making and discretion. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure successful outcomes. Lead and support operational teams by managing internalcrewsandsubcontractors,monitoring progress, and meeting timelines efficiently. Provide leadership throughonsitetraining and coaching, offering constructive feedback to promote team growth and effectiveness. Minimum Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. 8+ years of experience in construction management or a related field. Preferred and Additional Eligibility Qualifications: OSHA 30 Advanced education in construction, project management, ora relateddiscipline. Proficiency in project management and administrative tools and software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Skills Required: Proven expertise in managing multiple projects across a region or market, ensuring high-quality results and efficiency. Advanced ability to interpret construction drawings, technical documentation, and lead on-sitecrew/contractor coordination. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to multitask and adapt to complex project demands. Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building abilities to foster collaboration and professional growth. Highly self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering superior outcomes. Supervisory Responsibility Provide direction to staff, motivating collaboration to meet productivity targets. Mentor and train staff to support professional development, with an emphasis on NextEdge best practices. Offer constructive feedback and address performance issues in accordance with company policies. Work Environment /Physical Demands/Travel Required Office and field environment; work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Travel within the region as required.
