As an Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other physically related disorders requiring mobility training, strengthening, modalities, specialized manual therapy and neuromuscular reeducation. In this position you will utilize rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well‑being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. Job Requirements Previous work experience providing direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient or inpatient rehab unit preferred Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy required Master's degree preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required Current Colorado state licensure in occupational therapy upon hire or within 3 months required Physical Requirements Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) This inpatient PRN Occupational Therapist works varied shifts. 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, five days per week. There is a weekend commitment which consists of one full weekend every four weeks on a rotation. PRN associates also help cover holiday rotation needs. Where You'll Work Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorado's home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service.
