RN – Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Travel Assignment

Shift Details

• Day Shift
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• No call required

Requirements

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN License
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS Certification
• Basic Dysrhythmia Course completion strongly preferred
• Must be willing to float to all Medical Surgical units
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must have own transportation for assignment

Patient Care & Unit Information

• Medical Surgical Unit
• 20–34 beds depending on unit
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Telemetry monitoring required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Medical Surgical nursing care
• Perform patient assessments and monitor clinical status
• Interpret and monitor telemetry rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to other Med Surg units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation within Meditech EMR
