Job Title: Assistant Manager — Full Time (Mexican Restaurant)

Summary: Energetic, customer-focused Assistant Manager needed for a busy Mexican restaurant. You’ll support the General Manager in daily operations, leading the front-of-house team, ensuring excellent service and food quality, and helping drive sales and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and motivate front-of-house staff (hosts, servers, bartenders); hire, train, coach, and schedule team members
• Deliver outstanding guest service; handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Oversee shift operations: opening/closing procedures, floor management, seating, and service flow
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and liquor compliance standards; complete checklists and logs
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize waste/costs
• Assist with cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily cash deposits
• Implement promotions, upselling, and service initiatives to meet revenue targets
• Support back-of-house communication and maintain consistent quality and presentation
• Enforce company policies, work with management on labor and cost control, and contribute to a positive work culture

Qualifications:

• 2+ years supervisory/management experience in a full-service restaurant (Mexican cuisine preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; flexible full-time availability
• Familiarity with POS systems(toast), cash handling, and basic inventory processes
• Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Physically able to stand for long periods and perform active restaurant duties
