Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Locations Mt. Washington, KY 40047 Owensboro, KY 42303 Leitchfield, KY 42754 Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Salary Starting at $70,000+, based on experience Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to children. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders. You will develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's functional needs and work closely with patients, families, and other professionals to support meaningful progress. Key Responsibilities Evaluate children's speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing needs. Assess levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulties using appropriate testing materials, protocols, and scoring procedures. Identify appropriate treatment options and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide therapy to improve speech production, language, communication, and voice skills. Help children develop and strengthen skills related to social communication and cognitive-communication. Work with children who have feeding, dyslexia, sensory, and assistive technology needs. Provide treatment to help patients develop and strengthen the muscles and skills used for swallowing. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Educate and counsel patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders and treatment strategies.l Coordinate clinical services and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, families, community resources, and other professionals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, diagnoses, treatment progress, and changes to treatment plans. May provide Clinical Fellowship (CF) supervision, when applicable. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of speech, language, feeding, and swallowing assessment and treatment techniques. Knowledge of testing and assessment materials, protocols, and scoring. Knowledge of speech techniques, assistive technology, dyslexia, feeding, swallowing, and related areas. Familiarity with community resources within the service area. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and community resources. Ability to coordinate clinical services effectively. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Minimum Qualifications Completion of Master's Degree coursework and clinical internships in a Speech-Language Pathology program. Current Speech-Language Pathologist license through the appropriate state licensing board. Minimum 1 year of experience providing services to children and/or adolescents. Experience or ability to coordinate clinical services.
