Wave of the Future Preschool is seeking a candidate for our preschool program in Seaview, WA .
We seeking a teacher for 30.5 hours a week. The schedule is 11-5:30 Monday-Thursday and 11-3:30 Fridays.
Must be reliable, trustworthy, and experienced with children. Experience working with children required. Experience with Montessori, outdoor and arts education preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our after school program (3-5 pm)
- Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn and explore
- Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued
- Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness
- Communicate with parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
- Experience with working with children
- Problem solver & community builder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Early childhood education (ECE)
- Youth outdoor education
- Youth arts education
- Montessori certification
Requirements:
- Experience working with children
- Ability to pass background check
- First Aid certification
- Able to meet DCYF requirements for child care workers
