Summary Under the direction and supervision of the appropriate supervisory staff, the Imaging Associate, Breast Center, is responsible for assisting patients, medical and technical staff in routine daily activities; for coordinating all image and medical record assembly for report interpretations; and for utilizing RIS for all film tracking and procedure activity. Minimum Qualifications Formal Education Required: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience & Training Required Proven ability to read and write English and follow written instructions. Ability to pass medical vocabulary exam administered by Human Resources. Basic knowledge of windows environment. Other Skills, Competencies And Qualifications Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with patients, physicians and staff. Ability to efficiently and accurately file in terminal digit or alphabetical order. Must be able to use basic Window applications, including proficiency with a mouse and bar code reader. Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed by lead technologist and/or Manager. Ability to calmly handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy. Level Of Physical Demands Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
