Tax Senior | Independent CPA Firm | Hybrid | Pittsburgh Area

Location: Hybrid — Pittsburgh Area (2 days in office / 3 days remote)

Compensation: Up to $110,000 base + performance bonus + busy season bonus

Requirements: 3–5+ years public accounting tax experience | CPA required or actively pursuing

We are an independently owned, full-service accounting and advisory firm headquartered in the Pittsburgh area — approximately 100 professionals and over a decade of consecutive perfect peer reviews. That last part is not a marketing line. Twelve straight years of clean peer reviews is a reflection of how seriously this firm takes technical quality — and what it means to work alongside people who hold themselves to that standard.

We have grown organically and chosen to stay independent. No private equity. No acquisition pressure. No parent firm setting the agenda. The decisions get made locally, the culture stays intact, and the client relationships stay personal.

This is a growth hire — not a backfill. We are expanding post-busy-season, and we are looking for the right person to grow with us.

• Generalist exposure — no silos — no practice groups you are locked into, no specialty lane you cannot leave. You work across industries and entity types, which means faster development and a broader skill set than most firms at this size offer
• Defined busy season — 55-hour weeks from February 15 through April 15, then back to 40. That is a real window with a real end date, not a moving target
• Two bonus structures — a discretionary performance bonus based on realization and utilization, plus a separate busy season bonus. The firm rewards people who put in the work

What We Are Looking For

• 3–5+ years of public accounting tax experience
• CPA required or actively pursuing
• Solid generalist foundation — individual, pass-through, and business entity returns across a variety of industries
• Comfortable managing client relationships and communicating directly with clients and partners
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and collaborative by nature
• Entrepreneurial mindset — you take ownership, you do not wait to be told what to do

• Base salary up to $110,000 , commensurate with experience
