Elite Home Care, Day Centers & Transportation is looking for a compassionate and energetic Member Assistant to join our team in Charleston, SC! If you have a passion for working with the elderly and young adults with various cognitive and/or physical disabilities in a supportive and engaging environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Activity Director in implementing engaging activities, including arts, crafts, exercise, spiritual, music, games, & life skills

Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members when needed, including feeding, toileting, ambulation and transfers

Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members and their families 

Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space. Assist members with activities and encourage participation 

Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere, promote member independence in a positive manner

Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator.

Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working with young adult disabled individuals 

Must be dependable with reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license

CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with outgoing personality 

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Clean background check and drug test

Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks (toileting, ambulation, feeding, etc)
