With an established client base in the sector and a clear ambition to grow it, they are looking for a commercial leader who can deepen the relationships already in place and open new ones.

If you have spent years working with retail, ecommerce or consumer goods leaders, connecting AI and data to customer experience, supply chain efficiency and revenue growth, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for. Our client does not need an account manager who waits for work to arrive, or a hunter who ignores the base. They need someone who does both well, and who can start shaping the portfolio from day one.

The Role

\n

\n

You will act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior stakeholders across an existing portfolio of retail and consumer organisations, with ownership of revenue and growth targets for one or more accounts. Around 70% of your time will go on expanding wallet share, driving renewals and shaping tailored solutions with data, engineering and presales colleagues. The remaining 30% will go on identifying, pursuing and winning new logos across the vertical.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n

\n
• Build and deepen relationships with senior stakeholders across an existing retail and consumer portfolio
\n
• Own revenue and growth targets, leading account planning and expansion activity
\n
• Shape tailored AI, machine learning and analytics solutions alongside data, engineering and presales teams
\n
• Act as the escalation point, working with delivery to protect client satisfaction and service levels
\n
• Build a qualified pipeline of new retail, ecommerce and consumer goods clients, supported by proposals, statements of work and pitch material
\n
• Work with marketing on propositions for the sector and represent the business at industry events
\n

Ideal Background

\n

\n

\n
• 8 to 12 years in client facing roles that combine account growth with new business development, such as account management, consulting or presales
\n
• Direct experience selling to or working with retail, ecommerce or consumer goods clients
\n
• Proven record of both growing existing accounts and winning new logos
\n
• Working understanding of AI, machine learning, data platforms or analytics, with comfort around platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure and AWS
\n
• Experience managing a portfolio of around $7M-$10M, alongside new business origination, is a plus
\n
• Executive presence and the ability to influence C suite stakeholders
\n
• Degree educated in a related field
\n

Package

\n

This business offers up to $230,000 base salary + 30% bonus. This can be negotiable however for a candidate with extensive expertise and relationships.
