Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Medical Director within an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital provides care to dogs and cats and is committed to delivering Fear Free and Cat Friendly medicine in a low-stress, patient-focused environment. This is an opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership role while remaining actively involved in clinical practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will combine hands-on clinical responsibilities with leadership duties, providing high-quality care across diagnostics, preventive medicine, surgery, dentistry, and advanced therapies including PRP, Vetrostim, therapeutic laser, and stem cell therapy. The role includes mentoring and developing associate veterinarians, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused culture, and working closely with the practice manager to support hospital performance and team engagement. The Medical Director will set clinical standards, support continuous improvement, and ensure excellent patient and client outcomes while also contributing to case management and client communication. Doctor hours are structured within the hospital's operating schedule.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with closure on Sundays. The facility is a modern, three-story hospital built in 2018 and is equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, PRP, Vetrostim, and stem cell therapy. The practice utilizes electronic medical records and follows AAHA standards alongside Fear Free and Cat Friendly protocols. The culture emphasizes collaboration, professional development, and work-life balance within a structured and supportive environment.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a strong and experienced support staff, including dedicated assistants who support clinical and administrative tasks. The environment is collaborative and efficient, allowing veterinarians to focus on delivering high-quality medicine while benefiting from strong team support and a positive workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
