Your Day as a Recreation Aide

As a Seasonal Recreation Aide with the City of Pharr, you will play a pivotal role in supervising exciting seasonal programs and activities, including our vibrant aquatic program. Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you inspect facilities for potential hazards, ensuring a safe environment for all participants. In this dynamic position, you will also be responsible for promptly reporting any broken equipment to the appropriate supervisor, maintaining the integrity of our programs. • Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a safe environment for recreation and athletic program participants.
• Knowledge of fundamentals and techniques of athletics fitness cultural/social activities and/or arts and crafts sufficient to be able to perform a variety of duties related to the work assignment.
• Ability to develop and administer recreation and athletic programs suited to the needs of the community.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the working environment and with those contacted in the course of work.
