Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 1st 12-hour Days, float as needed Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of Intensive Care Nursing experience preferred. License: Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact. Certifications: - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent. - AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is required. Must-Have: - Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of a minimum of two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description incorporates essential functions adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
