MS Therapist (Unlicensed) (1183)

Job Purpose:
- The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves supporting clients in managing mental health issues, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions to promote mental wellness and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and gather relevant information to understand clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervising licensed therapists.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, to address clients' mental health concerns.
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of mental health therapy.

Required Education:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Required Experience:
- Experience in providing therapeutic services in a clinical setting, preferably related to mental health.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of multicultural issues in therapy.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in therapy.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health therapy.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest research and techniques in the field.
