Senior Accountant, Global Accounting

What You'll Do

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Partner with Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Cost Accounting teams to support accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare management reports and provide meaningful analysis of financial results, trends, and variances
• Support consolidation and reporting processes across multiple entities and business units
• Maintain and analyze transfer pricing data while assisting with intercompany accounting activities
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records
• Assist with capital project accounting and fixed asset reporting activities
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Leverage Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools to analyze large data sets and drive informed business decisions
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls
• Participate in special projects and initiatives that support the continued growth and evolution of the finance organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a large corporation or public accounting environment
• Strong general ledger accounting experience, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large volumes of financial data
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP, JD Edwards (JDE), Cognos, or other large ERP systems
• Exposure to consolidations, transfer pricing, fixed assets, or audit support
• Experience using Power Query or other advanced data analysis tools
• Background in a large public company or public accounting environment
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation
• Experience supporting process improvement or finance transformation initiatives

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
