Our client, a aerospace technology company, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Data Acquisition and Control Systems (DACS) team supporting aerospace hardware testing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid) Pay Range: $50/hr - $60/hr

What's the Job?

• Develop Data Acquisition and Control Systems (DACS) for test stands and test facilities supporting aerospace hardware testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and compliance with requirements.
• Design and implement networking solutions for real-time data sharing and communication between multiple controllers.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and document software design, build processes, installations, and user manuals.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development focused on data acquisition and test or process control systems.
• Experience with PLC programming, particularly Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff PLCs.
• Strong programming skills in LabVIEW or equivalent software platforms.
• Experience integrating test instruments into control systems, including power analyzers, power supplies, pressure scanners, temperature scanners, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and actuators.
