Healthcare Shares is seeking experienced pediatricians to serve as Pediatrician Advisors. This role is ideal for physicians with firsthand experience in pediatric primary care, child health, adolescent medicine, preventive care, developmental health, care coordination, digital health, telehealth, healthcare AI, value-based care, population health, or healthcare innovation.

As a Pediatrician Advisor, you will provide clinical, operational, and strategic insight to help Healthcare Shares evaluate, support, and grow healthcare startups within our venture capital fund, venture studio, and broader healthcare entrepreneurship ecosystem. This is a flexible, remote advisory opportunity for pediatricians who are passionate about improving child and adolescent healthcare access, care delivery, affordability, family engagement, patient outcomes, and innovation through entrepreneurship.

• Provide clinical and strategic guidance on healthcare startups focused on pediatrics, child health, adolescent medicine, preventive care, developmental health, care coordination, telehealth, digital health, healthcare AI, and related areas.

• Support Healthcare Shares in evaluating healthcare startups, founders, business models, clinical relevance, workflow fit, scalability, family impact, patient impact, and social impact potential.

• Advise portfolio companies, venture studio projects, and healthcare entrepreneurs on pediatric workflows, physician adoption, family engagement, care delivery models, patient safety considerations, and commercialization strategy when appropriate.

• Offer relevant introductions, industry insight, and subject matter expertise across pediatrics, primary care, health systems, children's hospitals, digital health, healthcare technology, clinical operations, and startup ecosystems.

• Participate in periodic advisory discussions and contribute practical recommendations based on your clinical experience and area of expertise.

• MD or DO with experience practicing pediatrics.

• Board certification or board eligibility in pediatrics preferred.

• Experience in pediatric primary care, child health, adolescent medicine, developmental health, preventive care, population health, telehealth, digital health, healthcare AI, startups, investing, advisory work, or healthcare innovation preferred.

• Strong understanding of pediatric workflows, family engagement, patient care pathways, care coordination, preventive care, clinician needs, and real-world barriers to healthcare technology adoption.

• Ability to commit approximately 2–4 hours per month to advisory board participation and strategic advisory activities.

This Pediatrician Advisor role offers the opportunity to receive carried interest in the Healthcare Shares venture capital fund. Advisors may also have opportunities to support Healthcare Shares venture studio companies and startup clients, including potential sweat equity opportunities when applicable.
