CT TechnologistCT Technologists perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images for physician interpretation. These roles are commonly used in hospitals, trauma centers, emergency departments, and outpatient imaging settings for local and travel contract assignments.Responsibilities include preparing, positioning, and educating patients for CT imaging procedures while confirming patient identity and exam orders. They operate CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols. They administer contrast agents when permitted, monitor patients for reactions, and follow safety procedures for contrast use. They maintain accurate imaging records and complete documentation in the electronic medical record and radiology systems. They follow radiation safety standards, infection prevention measures, and department quality protocols. They collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and patient care.Required qualifications include a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program, current ARRT certification; CT-specific credentials may be required by the facility, active state licensure if required in the assignment state, minimum 1–2 years of recent CT Tech experience preferred for contract and travel assignments, and strong patient care, communication, and critical thinking skills in fast-paced imaging environments.Benefits include weekly pay and direct deposit.
