Greeter (Main Lobby Area) MSH Sinai Signature Services FT Nights EOW 

As an integral part of the team, the Greeter is responsible for the facilitation of visitor management and maintenance of entrance areas. These include maintaining a welcoming arrival experience and guiding patients and visitors to their destinations.

1.    Greets patients and visitors upon arrival at the hospital entrance, providing a welcoming first impression.
2.    Completes the standard check-in procedure for patients and visitors.
3.    Assists in wayfinding and provides patients and visitors with maps.
4.    Escort patients and visitors to the necessary areas, as needed.
5.    Answers telephone promptly and courteously. Transfers to other departments, as needed.
6.    Maintains communication with unit staff and notifies staff at destination when patients arrive.
7.    Communicates and upholds visitor policy.
8.    Ensures safety protocols (e.g. visitor badges, mask policies, if required).
9.    Provides information and answers questions regarding hospital amenities and guest services.
10.    Escalates issues to Manager and/or Supervisor.
11.    Receives and maintains inventory of required supplies for the area.
12.    Supports maintenance of lobby appearance and individual work areas.
13.    Participates in environmental management.
14.    Promotes a customer service environment for the area.
15.    Coordinates and works closely with security team and medical floors.
16.    Verifies appointment locations and dates for patients in EPIC. Confirms patients’ location for visitors.
17.    Performs other duties as assigned.

• Work requires a high school level of knowledge (graduate or equivalent) in order to prepare reports and keep records.
• Six months of healthcare related experience in order to become familiar with institutional policies and procedures preferred.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $20.3581 - $21.9909 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
