For more information, please visit Position Summary Under the direction of the Director, People Operations, the People Operations Business Partner (POBP), supports the entire people operations function on-site and remotely across the segment. The POBP will support the alignment of business objectives with people operation goals to drive employee programs and engagement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to onboarding, employee relations, administrative responsibilities, legal compliance, people development, benefit administration, leave of absence coordination, training, and performance management. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, who exercises good judgment, takes ownership of site activities, and who is authentic and instills trust in others. Responsibilities: Works alongside and provides support to all management on employee relations issues including coaching managers on how to write reviews and provide constructive feedback, advisement of employee leave and accommodation requests, and other employee relation issues that may occur. Partners with managers on employee terminations, grievances, and other performance or policy concerns, working closely with the Director of People Operations. Coach and counsel employees and managers through mediation and conflict resolution. Spearhead site and segment engagement initiatives. Develop and deliver leadership, professional development, and role specific training based on business and segment needs. Assess learning needs by partnering with managers and employees, identifying skill gaps, and recommending targeted learning solutions. Track training, participation, effectiveness, and completion metrics to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement. Administer annual performance review process by providing communication to management/employees and driving the project to completion. Support segment-wide benefits initiatives by partnering with corporate Benefits to ensure accurate communication, coordination, and understanding of programs across all sites including the open enrollment process. Assist iin segment-wide benefits communication efforts, including annual open enrollment messaging, FAQs, and updates to ensure information is consistent and accessible. Maintain working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other key regulations to support compliance and respond effectively to employee inquiries. Provide employees with clear guidance on benefit programs, plan features, and available resources, escalating complex questions as appropriate. Provide support to employees for any leave of absence/FMLA requests by ensuring appropriate paper work and answering any questions. Maintain HRIS Database by data entry new hires/contractors (outside of e-onboarding), update data, and create reports, as needed. Assist with HRIS troubleshooting by responding to employee and manager inquiries, resolving system issues, and escalating technical problems appropriately. Maintain and enhance HRIS data integrity by performing regular audits, validating information, and ensuring accuracy across employee records and segment reporting needs. Support HRIS optimization by identifying process improvements, recommending configuration updates, and partnering with corporate HRIS to implement workflow enhancements. Reviews and submits all invoices to finance for payment. Generate department reports, activity updates and metrics for management team. Ensure legal compliance is maintained with all applicable laws in relation to Affinative Action, E-Verify, Veterans & Disability, FLSA / Wage & Hour, Worker's Compensation and FMLA, including posting of required documents. Assist in the development and maintenance of the company Affinative Action program, prepare necessary EEO, VETS and other legally required government reports. Provide input in the development of employee policies and procedures and other employee manuals. Conduct activities in manner which will enable the company to accomplish its objectives through an efficient workforce with good morale. Assess and strategize needed learning and development opportunities for the segment and partner with the learning and development specialist as needed. Actively engage with employees and managers where appropriate, serving as a credible and capable HR resource. Partner and participate with People Operations team on the delivery of key initiatives. Conduct exit interviews and compile associated data; identify trends and suggest potential mitigations. Maintain a positive work environment and corporate culture by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, both internal and external. Perform other similar related tasks as assigned to support the People Operations team and Comtech facilities. Assists with on-site interviews, including greeting candidates, answering questions and providing tours (if applicable). Organize and coordinate site events and other special projects. Requirements: Required to work onsite each day as this supports a manufacturing facility Flexibility of hours to provide support on off business hours asrequired Experience with ADP WFN is a plus Prior experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment is preferred Ability to travel on occasion Education and Experience: A minimum of three to five years in the human resources field which three years were in a Generalist/Business Partner role. Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field SHRM-CP or PHR certificate is a plus About: This position requires compliance with Comtech's Drug-Free Workplace Program.
