Associate Attorney – Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts, and Conservatorships Location: Hybrid / Remote (Must reside in Orange County or San Diego County, or available to get there) Compensation (Full-Time): $90,000 - $150,000 DOE + Performance Bonuses Compensation (Part-Time): $40-$70/hr DOE + Performance Bonuses About Philo Law Firm We are a high-impact, modern boutique law firm dedicated to transforming the client experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts, and Estates. The Role: Full-Cycle Stewardship We are seeking a proactive, "A-Player" Associate Attorney who is ready to own their cases. You will be the primary point of contact for clients from the initial consultation through the final resolution. Whether meeting a family over Zoom to discuss their legacy or advocating for a client in person in court, you are the face of the firm. Key Responsibilities Full Case Management: Manage and resolve a diverse caseload of Probate, Trust, Estate Planning, and Conservatorship matters from beginning to end. This includes litigated matters. Direct Advocacy: Represent clients in court, mediations, and depositions throughout Southern California. Client Engagement: Lead strategy sessions and maintain proactive, empathetic communication with clients. Document Architecture: Draft estate plans, petitions, motions, objections, and settlement agreements with keen attention to detail. System Innovation: Embrace and adapt to our technology stack to improve firm efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure seamless case movement and elite client care. Mobile & Resilient: You enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid/remote role but are ready to transport yourself to client meetings in Orange or San Diego County, or to court in Orange County, San Diego County, Los Angeles County, or Riverside County when the case requires it. Qualifications Experience: 1–5+ years of experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts, Estates (we will train a "growth-minded" applicant with the right grit). Licensure: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar. Skills: Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills. Ability to embrace technology. Ability to work independently while being a supportive team player. Residency: Must currently reside in Orange County or San Diego County, or have ability to appear in person in San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties for appearances. Why Join Us?
