Job Responsibilities

• Thoroughly assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational approaches.
• Create individualized treatment plans focusing on short-term targets along with longer-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team inclusive of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop synergistic care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to support progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Facilitate occasional evaluations and therapy for inpatients, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
• Accurately maintain records and documentation in compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
• Commit to ongoing learning through continuing education initiatives and peer collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Credentials

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred to have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
