- Thoroughly assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational approaches.
- Create individualized treatment plans focusing on short-term targets along with longer-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team inclusive of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop synergistic care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and families to support progress beyond clinical interactions.
- Facilitate occasional evaluations and therapy for inpatients, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
- Accurately maintain records and documentation in compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
- Commit to ongoing learning through continuing education initiatives and peer collaboration.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred to have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based practices tailored for all age groups, alongside a solid understanding of developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with direct patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy approaches to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with keen problem-solving acumen.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
