Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED for a travel nursing job in Franklin, Indiana. Overview Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position. Provide direct patient care in a busy ER with focus on acute emergencies during night shifts. Responsibilities Provide patient care in the emergency department. Perform IV insertion, EKG rhythm interpretation, and manage common emergency diagnoses such as abdominal pain, altered mental status, chest pain, stroke, COVID-19, SOB, and moderate sedation. Assist with patient sitters or medics and float to other units as needed. Document in Cerner electronic medical records. Participate in orientation consisting of 1–2 shifts with a preceptor. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid in the state of Indiana. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and NRP certifications. Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience. Proficiency in IV insertion, EKG rhythm interpretation, and common emergency diagnoses. Preferred certifications: TNCC, ENPC. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shift schedule.
