Description Compensation is $ 16.90 an hour per California's minimum wage. Additional compensation can be earned through gratuity, tips, and service charges. Summary of Position Responsible for assisting with serving guests food and beverage in the restaurant or food and beverage outlets. Work Hours Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs. Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions. Job Requirements Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision. Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently. Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Must possess excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational Must be able to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift regularly. Safety requirements of PPE as needed for the duty assigned and with the use of required tools and equipment. Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Job Responsibilities Assists the service staff in the service of food for the guest. Ensure service is more efficient and timely and to guarantee the best possible dining experience for the guest. Completes opening, closing and side work. Sets up food carts and stations for service. Communicates with and supports all staff to better serve the guests. Deliver food and beverage to guests in an accurate and timely manner. Expo build tickets on food and kitchen line. Monitor each guest's dining experience. Pre-set tables for dining and clear tables for next course. Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients with relation to common dietary restrictions. Maintain a clean dining area at all times. Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par. Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards. Follow safety and security procedures. Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team. Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations. Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
