Position Overview Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Arlington, Virginia. This full-time position involves working onsite at our modern rehabilitation center, focusing on delivering high-quality care to help patients regain mobility and reach their functional goals. Our team consists of skilled physical therapists who possess a wealth of knowledge and experience, allowing us to offer a range of services tailored to individual patient requirements. Work Environment Our rehabilitation center is designed to encourage healing and recovery, with state-of-the-art equipment and therapy spaces that foster an effective therapeutic atmosphere. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while providing ample opportunity to engage with patients and deliver impactful care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and goals, ensuring the development of personalized treatment plans. Manage a caseload by providing 1-on-1 therapy sessions, focusing on efficient yet effective care delivery. Implement evidence-based interventions to promote improved range of motion and mobility, employing techniques such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and encourage adherence to wellness protocols. Educate patients about non-surgical options and preventive measures to reduce reliance on medications. Document all patient interactions and services in our WebPT EMR System to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, including communication with physicians and other healthcare providers. Encourage patients to adopt healthy lifestyles by designing targeted fitness and wellness programs that improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary patient population consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions, many of whom are covered by private medical insurance. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that addresses both physical rehabilitation and overall well-being. Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. Current and valid Virginia license to practice as a Physical Therapist. A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against the license. Strong manual therapy skills and experience in orthopedic outpatient settings Demonstrated ability to develop and implement exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs. Proficiency in using WebPT EMR Software for documentation and patient management. Preferred Experience Experience working with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. A background in sports medicine or rehabilitation care is advantageous. Familiarity with the latest treatment modalities and rehabilitation technologies. Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for continuing education and professional development.
