Automotive Technician - BMW and Mazda

Automotive TechnicianBasney BMW Mazda is a dealership in South Bend, Indiana. We are seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both foreign and domestic vehicles. The Technician must have an aptitude for providing outstanding customer service, an attention to detail, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basney also offers a number of benefits, such as health insurance and retirement savings contributions.ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and repairs on all types of vehicles, both foreign and domestic.Diagnose car defects and troubleshoot issues.Perform brake jobs: wheel bearings, rotors, axle repair, etc.Disassemble and reassemble engine components as necessary.Identify and utilize proper tools in order to complete job requirements.Ensure the quality of all work performed and use of appropriate parts and components.Track schedule of repairs, findings, and recommended repairs.Communicate effectively with service advisors and mechanics.RequirementsAutomotive or Mechanical Engineering degree/certification a plusAt least 5 years of experience as an Automotive TechnicianThorough knowledge of both foreign and domestic vehiclesAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle issuesWorking knowledge of automotive repair and service processesExcellent customer service skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a team environmentEEO Statement Basney BMW Mazda is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
