Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a night shift position requiring 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional 3 PM to 3 AM shifts as needed. There will be weekend and holiday coverage as required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment, specializing in emergency and critical care settings. The nurse will be responsible for managing various patient diagnoses, including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health conditions. Experience in facilities offering STEMI and stroke care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various age groups.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and neurological status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, pharmacy, and social services for patient care.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient records.
• Support various special populations in the hospital, ensuring high standards of care and safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required.
• EPIC charting system experience is mandatory.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Travel experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
