Meat Cutter Apprentice

Position Overview: This role involves preparing various meat cuts and related products according to company standards to support store profitability and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Cut, weigh, and package meats such as steaks and chops for individual servings. Produce value-added products following established guidelines. Cut, trim, bone carcass sections to create cooking cuts. Follow recipes to grind, tray, and make sausages and other products. Price, wrap, and label meat products accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department. Assist with product ordering and stock replenishment. Familiarize with all products, providing suggestive selling to customers. Adhere to safety, food safety, and PPE guidelines. Support customer service and may assist in other departments as needed. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED. Preferred: 1+ year retail or related experience, especially in meat cutting or as an apprentice. Ability to read, write, interpret documents, and perform basic math. Attention to detail and physical stamina. Physical & Environment Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments, including exposure to outside weather and retail store noise levels.
