Lab Technician

Job Summary The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting a variety of tests on samples of fabric to ensure those samples meet the quality standard. Responsibilities Conduct up to eleven different tests on assigned fabric samples. Tests include: Shrinkage, Hand tests, Antimicrobial Torque, Pilling, Shade matching Colorfastness, Snag, Color block Durability, Wicking Complete written reports on test results Inspect customer orders routed through QA Lab Assist customer service with item information such as specifications and fabrics Perform other quality‑related inspections or activities as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to operate testing equipment Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English Ability to learn and administer various types of fabric tests Ability to complete written reports in English Computer proficiency, including Microsoft programs Basic math skills, including calculating percentages Ability to use a tape measure Ability to distinguish colors and textures of fabrics Strong verbal and written communication skills Physical Demands Ability to hear and communicate verbally Ability to see and distinguish colors and shades Ability to stoop, reach, handle and manipulate objects and materials Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Occasional work in a non‑temperature‑controlled warehouse; noise level moderate; hearing protection typically not required Gloves provided for hand protection Work Environment Primarily an office environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles on occasions Noise level low to moderate Work Hours Part‑time, Monday‑Friday: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM Dress Code Dress appropriately Closed‑toe shoes are required Equal Employment Opportunity Momentec Brands provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
