Aramark Student Nutrition provides food and nutrition services to over 350 school districts in the U.S. It offers public and private education institutions a variety of dining options, including breakfast and lunch programs, after‑school snacks, catering, nutrition education, and retail operations. The goal is to deliver healthy, nutritious meals with a stellar dining experience for our communities. The Registered Dietitian helps to deliver a nutritionally sound and cost‑efficient food services program that meets student needs while maintaining compliance with all local nutrition regulations. Utilizing technical training and government‑mandated nutritional standards, the RD develops healthy menu implementation plans and works closely with OpX, culinary, and management teams. Recent graduates or prospective RDs starting their clinical rotations are encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities Plan all Child Nutrition menus using menu‑planning software in accordance with USDA guidelines and Aramark menu strategy. Maintain required documentation for USDA, state, local, and client guidelines (nutrient analysis, CN/PFS labels, USDA workbooks, etc.). Coordinate use of USDA Foods/Commodities within menus and support annual USDA Foods orders. Support Food Management Process, overseeing purchasing compliance and accuracy to the menu, reviewing food orders as needed. Manage vendor/supplier relationships to ensure accurate stocking, availability, and delivery of food items. Visit school cafes regularly to assess operations using audit tools (food cost control, allergen readiness plan, administrative review preparedness). Assist with new employee training in food safety standards, menu & recipe compliance, and portioning. Provide support and assistance to students with dietary needs or food allergies, including menu development and front‑line associate training. Ensure adherence to all client nutrition & wellness policies and contract requirements. Educate clients and consumers about healthy food choices through school training and community outreach. Qualifications Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, or RDN eligible within 6 months of hire. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, or RDN eligible within 6 months of hire, including: Completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and coursework accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR): Successful completion of internship program (ACEND), satisfactory exam score, and fulfillment of continuing education requirements. Maintain applicable additional certifications, registrations, licenses, or credentials. Ability to maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer‑service attitude toward customers, clients, and co‑workers. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, self‑motivate, and solve problems with little oversight or direction. Knowledge of PC applications required and prior experience with food production systems preferred. Compensation Salary: $78,000.00 to $88,000.00 annually.
