Job Description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule

Shifts include Saturday and Sunday with one weekday option. Day shifts are 3x12 hours from 06:30 to 19:00. Every other weekend is required, with potential weekend call depending on assigned shifts.

Assignment Details

Contract length and guaranteed hours will be discussed upon application. Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed. There are 17 operating room rooms available with a patient ratio of 1:1.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience; 1st timers are also accepted
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred
• Experience required in Orthopedic and Neuro nursing; ability to circulate and perform conscious sedation is necessary
• Scrub and trauma experience is preferred
• Familiarity with Pyxis and Epic systems is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Assist in surgical procedures and maintain sterile field
• Monitor patient vitals and manage postoperative care
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities
