Job Description: We are seeking professional, reliable, and empathetic Independent Contractor Drivers with their own specialized NEMT vehicles to join our network. You will be responsible for transporting patients safely within Boston and up to a 150-mile radius. Responsibilities: * Provide safe, door-through-door non-emergency medical transportation. * Assist passengers utilizing ambulatory, wheelchair, bariatric, or stretcher equipment. * Maintain strict punctuality for scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs. * Operate your vehicle in full compliance with Massachusetts traffic laws and safety regulations. * Maintain a professional, polite, and compassionate demeanor at all times. Driver & Vehicle Requirements: * Must be at least 21 years old (or meet insurance age requirements). * Must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's License with a clean driving record (MVR check required). * Must pass a comprehensive background check (Level 2 fingerprinting) and drug screening. * Vehicle Criteria: Must own a clean, well-maintained vehicle suitable for Ambulatory, Wheelchair, Bariatric, or Stretcher transport. Vehicles must pass local county/state NEMT compliance inspections. * Prior experience in NEMT, medical courier, or passenger transit is highly preferred. * Valid CPR/First Aid certification and PASS training is a major plus. 1. Personal & Licensing Credentials: * Must be at least 21 years old (25+ preferred for insurance purposes). * Valid Massachusetts Driver's License (Class E or higher) held for at least 3 consecutive years. * Valid County Chauffeur Registration (Hack License) for Miami-Dade or Broward County (if operating within county lines). * Active Social Security Number (SSN) and legal authorization to work in the U.S. as an independent contractor (W-9 form required). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] 2. Background & Screenings (Zero Tolerance): * Level 2 Background Check: Must pass a federal and state fingerprint-based criminal background check via AHCA/Clearinghouse. No felony convictions, theft, violence, or history of patient/elder abuse. [1] * Drug & Alcohol Screening: Must pass a pre-employment 5-panel (or 10-panel) drug test . NEMT911 enforces a strict drug-free workplace policy. [1] * Motor Vehicle Record (MVR): Must provide a clean 3-year or 7-year driving history. No DUI/DWI, reckless driving, or license suspensions within the last 5 years. No more than 1 moving violation or at-fault accident in the past 12 months. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] 3. Required Certifications (Must be active or obtained prior to first trip): * CPR & First Aid Certification (AHA or American Red Cross approved). * PASS Training (Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity) or equivalent wheelchair/stretcher tie-down certification. * Defensive Driving Course certificate (NSC approved or equivalent). * Bloodborne Pathogens & HIPAA Compliance training certificates. 4. Vehicle Compliance: * Vehicle must pass annual county/state safety and NEMT compliance inspections. * Must be equipped with functional ADA-compliant ramps/lifts and approved wheelchair/stretcher tie-down restraint systems. * Must carry a fully stocked NEMT compliance kit: First Aid kit, fire extinguisher (ABC rated, securely mounted), biohazard spill kit, and seatbelt cutter.
