Come join our team for Midnight's (10:30pm-7:00am) for our 57-bed Nursing unit!

About the Role:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients within healthcare and social assistance settings. This position is primarily responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. The CNA works closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly. By providing direct patient care, the CNA contributes significantly to the overall patient experience and supports the efficient operation of healthcare facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid CNA certification as required by the state of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required health screenings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Every other weekend and Holiday's 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a CNA in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Additional training or coursework in geriatric or pediatric care.
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
• Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status and any observed changes or concerns.
• Assist with patient transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores and maintain comfort.
• Follow infection control protocols and adhere to healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Skills:

The CNA utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Attention to detail is critical when monitoring patient conditions and accurately recording vital signs to ensure timely and appropriate care. Physical stamina and dexterity are essential for assisting patients with mobility and personal care tasks safely. Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols is applied consistently to maintain a clean and secure environment for patients and staff. Additionally, problem-solving skills help the CNA respond promptly to patient needs and unexpected situations, contributing to overall patient well-being and facility efficiency.
