LPN Manager (Scheduling Focus)

Shalom Gardens Senior Living and Shalom Parkside Senior Living are seeking a dedicated and organized LPN Manager to join our leadership team. This role is perfect for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating staffing operations, and is passionate about supporting both residents and team members.

As an LPN Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring quality resident care while maintaining efficient staffing coverage across the building. If you are detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and a natural problem-solver — we want you on our team!

Clinical Leadership & Support

• Provide direct nursing support and oversight to clinical staff as needed

• Ensure high-quality care and adherence to all state and federal regulations

• Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and follow-up

Scheduling & Staffing Management (Core Function)

• Create, manage, and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage

• Coordinate call-offs, replacements, and shift adjustments in real-time

• Monitor staffing levels daily and proactively address gaps

• Collaborate with leadership to reduce agency usage and overtime

• Ensure new hires receive a schedule upon completion of orientation

• Track attendance, tardiness, and scheduling patterns

Team Support & Communication

• Serve as a point of contact for staff scheduling questions and concerns

• Maintain clear communication with nursing leadership and department heads

• Support employee engagement and retention through consistency and fairness in scheduling

Operational Excellence

• Maintain accurate scheduling records and reports

• Ensure compliance with staffing ratios and facility needs

• Assist with audits, surveys, and staffing documentation as needed

• Active LPN license in Virginia – Required

• 1+ year of experience in long-term care or assisted living – Preferred

• Prior staffing/scheduling experience strongly preferred

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer skills
