Lab Technician

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Lab Technician, Particleboard to join our quality control team in Simsboro, LA United States. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive laboratory testing and analysis on particleboard products to ensure they meet our rigorous quality standards. You will work efficiently to maintain accurate documentation, operate specialized laboratory equipment, and collaborate with production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct quality control testing on particleboard samples using established laboratory protocols and procedures Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including measurement instruments and testing apparatus Perform detailed analysis of test results and compile data into organized reports Document all test findings, measurements, and observations with precision and accuracy Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for process improvement Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and standard operating procedures Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance when necessary Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address testing concerns and implement corrective actions Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace Assist in calibrating and validating laboratory instruments Required: Proven experience conducting laboratory testing and quality control analysis Knowledge of particleboard manufacturing processes or wood product industry standards Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and analytical instruments Strong data analysis and record-keeping skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities Solid understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements Ability to follow standard operating procedures consistently Ability to use power tools, measuring devices and other hand tools Competent technical communication and report-writing skills Preferred: Experience with statistical analysis and quality control methodologies Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Background in equipment calibration and validation Knowledge of industry-specific testing standards and certifications Experience with Microsoft Office and data analysis software As a company dedicated to its associates, we offer numerous benefits and advantages: Growth opportunities, domestic and international, with the world's leading producer of wood panel products Work in a diverse, inclusive environment with colleagues from around the world A highly competitive benefits program including affordable medical, dental and vision plans Company paid life and short & long term disability plans Supplemental life, critical illness and accident plans for you and your family 401 (k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off including a generous paid vacation plan and holidays after 90 days “Life of Career” training opportunities through our global or local KronoAcademy Uniform & reimbursement for safety boots & prescription safety glasses and company provided tools Together we work, together we win. #J-18808-Ljbffr Kronospan LLC
