IT - Business Analysis Consultant - Senior

Salesforce Sr. Business Analyst

This is the support project for EPIC, including EASE as well as for the Provider Portal. Resources from the SFCOE will be responsible for providing support for production related issues and potential enhancements.

Top requirements:

  • Work with resources from across Salesforce team to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented as specified.
  • Diagram and evaluate existing processes; interpret into Salesforce requirements and solutions.
  • Plan, define, author, and assist in design of Salesforce solutions.
  • 4+ years of professional Business Analyst experience.
  • What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Examples of leadership, teamwork, and problem solving in job history. Experience translating complex Salesforce requirements, providing value for customers, and successful project completion.

Location: 100% Remote.

  • Open to candidates that require sponsorship upon conversion.

Team structure: 1 PM, multiple Dev, QA - standard Agile team setup.

Interview process: a. How many rounds? 1 or 2 will likely be a panel interview b. Video vs. phone? Phone c. How technical will the interviews be? Will be discussing technical requirements of this role

The Salesforce Sr. BA is responsible for gathering/defining operational aspects of the assigned Salesforce project(s);, including data analytics, process management, and policies/procedures. The Sr. Business Analyst in the Salesforce Center of Excellence team will have diverse responsibilities focused on technology and system implementations, as well as defining configuration (declarative) or customization (programmatic) process analysis, supporting key business and operational initiatives. Optums Salesforce team is a fast-paced environment and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running to manage multiple responsibilities while producing high-quality work. The Sr. BA is expected to be capable of being the Lead for the project, able to drive requirements, educate all on the Agile process, and mentor more Jr. Client.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, define, author, and assist in design of Salesforce solutions
  • Work with resources from across Salesforce team to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented as specified.
  • Compose User Stories
  • Diagram and evaluate existing processes; interpret into Salesforce requirements and solutions
  • Work in partnership with Salesforce team to maintain a library of policy and process documents
  • Document, train and initiate changes to existing processes
  • Audit processes to identify process and performance defects.
  • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Advise the business on Salesforce best practices and tools/solutions
  • Partner with IT (internal and external partners) and functional business owners to resolve systems related issues
  • Prepare presentations for the team and management highlighting progress and risks.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement solutions in process, policy, and Salesforce deliverables

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelors' degree (or commensurate experience)
  • Salesforce certification(s)
  • 4+ years of professional Business Analyst experience
  • Past BA work in driving Salesforce requirements and documentation, preferably as the Lead.
  • Understanding of Salesforce declarative / customization capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of systems analysis, including root cause analysis and other process modeling and systems design methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to think independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts.

Desired skills/experience:

  • Knowledge of Healthcare, Call Center and/or Eligibility functionality a huge plus
