What You Do

• Unload incoming shipments and verify quantities and labels against inbound paperwork.
• Inspect inbound shipments for freight damage and report issues to the appropriate parties.
• Pick, pack, and load customer orders according to established procedures.
• Check carton quality on picked orders before loading.
• Return misplaced or incorrectly pulled items to the proper bin location.
• Consolidate bin locations as directed.
• Maintain proper product stack heights.
• Follow housekeeping responsibilities for the assigned area.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least one year of warehouse experience required
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as a hand truck, dolly, pallet jack, or order picker required
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management System and Datascope for inbound and outbound processing
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Ability to perform warehouse duties including picking, packing, sorting, shipping, and receiving
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while following safety protocols
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds at any given time
• Flexibility to adjust to changing job assignments, assist other departments, and work overtime based on business needs
• Basic math skills
• Strong attendance and demonstrated work ethic

While performing this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The role also requires reaching with hands and arms and occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, or kneeling. The employee must regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects weighing more than 100 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust focus, and the ability to detect color differences, with correction if needed. Hearing requirements include the ability to hear clearly in person and by telephone, with correction if needed.

While performing this job, the employee works indoors. The noise level is typically low to moderate, with occasional periods of moderate to high stress. The role may also involve some exposure to temperature extremes and dust in the warehouse or plant environment.

Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities 

•Assists in additional housekeeping duties for the department including keeping work areas and all bin locations clear as needed to ensure safety.
•Other duties as assigned.

Expected Hours of Work

•Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Hours depend on business needs, during peak season, overtime is expected including some weekends.
