Sr Manager Trade Controls

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Manager for Trade Controls to lead compliance and strategy execution for US-Mexico Southern Border operations within Medical Technology. The role manages a team of trade professionals, oversees import/export regulations including USMCA requirements, and ensures alignment between cross-border trade activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade controls strategy execution and compliance for US-Mexico Southern Border Medical Technology segments
• Drive monitoring and assurance activities for import/export rules, including USMCA-related requirements
• Reconcile Juarez export activity with US import records through periodic cross-checks and analysis
• Develop dashboards and communicate findings, risks, and required actions to business stakeholders
• Guide a team of Trade Controls professionals supporting Medical Technology business segments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years in import compliance, customs, global trade, supply chain, or risk management
• Expertise in US customs requirements and Mexico-US cross-border trade
• Experience using ACE data for compliance monitoring and reconciliations
• Knowledge of USMCA, tariff classification, and Temporary Importation under Bond transactions
• Strong data analysis, risk assessment, and executive communication skills
• Ability to manage escalations and collaborate with Legal and external advisors
