Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met/followed. Develops production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers. Oversees production staff, including hiring/training of personnel.Essential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or allinclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.Establishes operational strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, sales, human capital, cost and profitabilityAccountable for assigned site’s key performance metrics including machine and labor efficiencies and provides guidance to departmental leaders to ensure scorecard objectives are metProactively monitors site capacity and collaborates with other sites on scheduling optimization to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demandsConducts equipment feasibility studies and makes recommendations for investment; works with Finance to prepare capital expenditure plan and is accountable for payback expectationsCollaborates with cross-functional leaders to set continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellencePrepares and manages the annual financial plan and monitors performance through forecasting and/or other company reportsEnsures the overall maintenance and security of facilities, grounds, utilities and equipmentProvides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the Operations function, working closely with direct reportsInteracts with key stakeholders to provide technical support, explore new business opportunities, and/or resolve order problems or complaintsMaintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publicationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 8 years of relevant experience requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and siteKnowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycleKnowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facilityKnowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product componentsKnowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processesAbility to lead people and get results through othersAbility to think ahead and plan over a specific time spanAbility to establish high performance teams and a strong team playerPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentPrimarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office settingFrequent walking and standing requiredOccasional travel requiredOccasional lifting up to 25 lbs.#LI-HM1#MPCTwo companies, one vision.Menasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
